Douglas Bernardt

In 2023, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels is supporting director Douglas Bernardt in his collaboration with choreographer Botis Seva.

Raised in his parent’s video rental store in Brazil, Douglas Bernardt is a director and cinematographer.

Douglas has worked with Arlo Parks, Nego Bala, Masego, Gregory Porter, and Tom Misch. His short film for Baco Exu do Blues, Bluesman received the 2019 Cannes Lions Grand Prix and his experimental short for Nego Bala’s Sonho was also awarded at Cannes in 2022 for Entertainment for Music. His films have also been recognised by D&AD, Clio Music, Young Director Award, Kinsale Sharks, Camera image and won Gold at Ciclope Latino.
