In 2025, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels presents, in collaboration with the Sadler's Wells, Self/Unnamed by Georges Labbat as part of Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels Festival in London. The initiative also supports the presentation of this piece as part of the Yokohama Dance Collection programme in December 2024.
Georges Labbat, born in 1997, is a choreographic artist. Trained at the Paris Conservatoire, then at P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels, he collaborated with Anne Imhof for her carte blanche at the Palais de Tokyo, then regularly with the American duo Gerard&Kelly. He has created several choreographic works (Self/Unnamed - creation 2022; WHIP - creation 2024) questioning the relationship between text and literature and movement, and has developed a plastic practice around the design of resin statues.
