In 2026, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels Festival presents g r oo v e  by Soa Ratsifandrihana in collaboration with New York Live Arts.

Soa Ratsifandrihana is a dancer and choreographer. Trained at the Paris Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse, she has collaborated with artists such as James Thierrée, Salia Sanou and Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. In 2021, she created her first solo work, g r oo v e, which has toured internationally. The piece explores groove, improvisation and diasporic influences.

In 2024, she developed a diptych consisting of the radio work Rouge cratère, recognized at Paris Podcast Festival, and the stage piece Fampitaha, fampita, fampitàna (meaning "comparison, transmission, rivalry"). Through a collective approach, these works continue her exploration of the links between narration, choreography and music.

In July 2025, Soa created Quelle Aurore, a duo with the musician and performer Bonnie Banane. The piece was commissioned by SACD France and the Festival d’Avignon.

Soa's work explores the authenticity of identities and diasporic spaces through a language of movement rooted in groove and improvisation. Her choreography gives voice to multiple temporalities, embracing hybridity and contradiction, joy and doubt, play and gravitas. Grounded in collective creation and relationality, her practice champions cultural persistence, presence and transformation.

In 2025, Soa founded the company Kintana in Brussels. From 2026 to 2029, she is an associate artist at Charleroi Danse.
