Since 2024, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels has been supporting The Opéra national du Rhin Ballet for Laura Cappelle's research residency on the aesthetic and social evolutions of contemporary ballet.

Since 1985, the OnR Ballet has been recognized as a Centre Chorégraphique National (CCN), and remains an exception as the only one affiliated with an opera house. This unique identity has made it a center of excellence, dedicated to the adaptation of major classical works, as well as to creation of choreographic pieces by established choreographers and emerging talents. The Ballet's repertoire is one of the most diverse in France, ranging from baroque to contemporary, and including reinterpretations of the great classics. With a program that is both ambitious and accessible to all, the Ballet promotes dance culture among all audiences, providing performances for students and awareness-raising initiatives.

Under the artistic direction of Bruno Bouché, the CCN is broadening its mission. Hosting the Compagnie Retouramont, a pioneer of vertical dance, as an "Artiste Associé" (Associate Artist) further explores the place of a Ballet in the city and promotes its presence in the public space, bringing it closer to inhabitants. Laura Cappelle's research residency, analyzing the aesthetic and social evolution of contemporary ballet, contributes to the transformations at the heart of the European Ballet project in the 21st century.

The Ballet is also expanding its artistic horizons. Located at the crossroads of Europe, the company explores new dramatic works and original subjects, in tune with today's globalized world. Its program, with new forms and works by dancer-choreographers, helps shift the boundaries of dance, bringing together performers and choreographers, artists and audiences, tradition and risk-taking, modernity and renewal.
