In 2025, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels is renewing its support for the China Shanghai International Arts Festival and the Shanghai International Dance Center Theater, for the presentation of Diptych: The Missing Door and The Lost Room by Peeping Tom as well as Kontakthof - Echoes of '78, a Sadler's Wells, Pina Bausch Foundation and Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch production.
The Shanghai International Dance Center Theater (SIDCT) is the first professional theater dedicated to the art of dance in China. Today, not only is it home to some of the finest dance companies in the country, such as the Shanghai Ballet Company or the Shanghai Song and Dance Company, it has also introduced a number of cutting-edge works by internationally renowned dancers and dance companies. Among their past performers are the Batsheva Dance Company from Israel, the Akram Khan Company and the Hofesh Shechter Company both from the United Kingdom, and Rosas, from Belgium.
The SIDCT has become a theater of reference for contemporary dance performances in both mainland China and abroad. In addition to national and international dance performances, nearly one hundred educational activities take place at the SIDCT every year, enabling audiences to experience the multi-dimensional charm of choreography from a variety of perspectives. The SIDCT is also building a platform for the incubation of young artists, facilitating access to venues, providing technical and performance support, encouraging communications and development, and catalyzing innovation through creations commissioned from the new generation of Chinese dancers.
