"The number of years I lived in the 20th century can be counted on the fingers of one hand. It is both enough to regret the humanist European ideal and too small to see anything other than the carcass: the industrial and commercial infrastructures whose transit networks stretch to infinity. The impetus of 900 Something Days Spent in the XXth Century originates in the desire to bring this ruin to its end," said Némo Flouret.

900 Something Days reflects on the post-industrial era, referring to the urban and industrial environments of today's cities. Conjuring those topographies and reinterpreting spaces that were not meant for dancing in the first place, Némo Flouret creates spheres of reflection for collective action. To the beat of Eurodance, the artist attempts to recreate French writer Aurélien Bellanger’s frenetic production. This piece invites one to think about the reality of our contemporaneity, between progress and decline, acceleration and obsolescence.
