In 2023, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels is supporting the Tate Modern for the presentation of ANIMA by Noémie Goudal and Maëlle Poésy
Featuring large-scale moving-image projections and suspension performances, ANIMA invites us to experience the physical sensation of time and to consider the effects of the climate emergency. The performance is based on Noémie Goudal’s work Post Atlantica, which takes us on a journey through our planet’s temporal and geographic strata, drawing inspiration from scientific research and their quest to understand climate change. It expands on the ‘Gaia’ theory, formulated by scientist James Lovelock in 1979. Lovelock’s theory dictated that the Earth should be viewed holistically, with all its different components acting interdependently. The piece includes an installation of photographic and video works by Noémie Goudal, and a performance by Chloé Moglia, whose research focuses on the concept of suspension and weightlessness.

Maëlle Poésy
Maëlle Poésy is a director, author and actress, and the director of Théâtre Dijon Bourgogne since September 2021. She studied drama at Sorbonne Nouvelle, dance with the choregraphers Hofesh Shechter, Damien Jalet and Koen Augustijnen, and trained as an actress at Superior School of ramatic Art at Théâtre National de Strasbourg.

Chloé Moglia
Chloé Moglia is a performer whose practice is based on her unique research of suspension, integrating her martial arts practice in her journey as an artist. A proponent of both embodied thought and bodily sensibility, she endeavours to integrate into her work focus and acuity by combining physical practice, thought and sensitivity.
