TAO Dance Theater
In 2025, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels is presenting in collaboration with The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, an open studio after a 2-week workshop with students led by TAO Dance Theater.
Launched by the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, SWEAT Hong Kong International Dance Workshop Festival provides a vital digital platform for scholars and artists to connect, share best practices, and engage in meaningful dialogue. This workshop last two-week and is organized for the Academy's dance students, led by the acclaimed TAO Dance Theater. This enriching workshop culminates in a work-in progress presentation and a panel discussion, forming part of the closing programme at the SWEAT Dance Conference.

Tao Ye est diplômé de l'école de danse de Chongqing en Chine. Après avoir dansé avec le Shanghai Army Song & Dance Ensemble, il rejoint le Shanghai Jin Xing Dance Theater, puis s'installe à Pékin pour intégrer la Beijing Modern Dance Company (BMDC). En 2008, à l'âge de 23 ans, Tao Ye fonde TAO Dance Theater. Inspiré par la pensée orientale, Tao Ye développe le "Circular Movement System" en combinaison avec son propre style de danse. Ses chorégraphies sont marquées par un style minimaliste, des répétitions et des restrictions.
